WEATHER WITCH STRIKES AGAIN!!

Well, the "weather witch" crapped on us and the veterans!!  So we have some changes to make now.  First of all we rescheduled the ride and cook-out for Sunday, June 23rd.  1 PM departure time from Casey's, and cook-out at Rotach's around 5.  Also, we had a ride scheduled for June 9th to go to Hansen's.  I won't be able to make that trip.  After I scheduled that ride, the Thunder In The Park committee asked for my help that weekend.  Since this is an important event for our community, I feel obligated to help them out.  Actually I get to help fire one of the cannons!  Tough duty, but somebody has to do it!!  If you get a group together that wants to ride to Hansen's that day, feel free to do so.  In the meantime, with this lousy weather I've got.......

RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY...WE WANNA RIDE MEMORIAL DAY!!

This last Wednesday night was a wash-out.  Actually the first one I can remember in a long time, but we continue to battle the weather "witch" right on through the spring.  Hopefully she will give us a break on Monday for the annual Memorial Day ride and cookout.  We plan to depart from Casey's at 1 PM on Monday and should get back to town for the cookout at Rotach's by 5 PM.  Bring want you want to drink and maybe something to pass, and Bob will furnish the brats.  Hope to see everyone there.

3 BIKES, 3 TRIKES

This Wednesday, the 15th, we had 3 bikes, 3 trikes, and 7 members ride about 110 miles through Lansing, New Albin, Brownsville, Caledonia, Eitzen, and back to Gus & Tony's on a beautiful night for riding.  We were all pleased to see Meryle's new addition and it looks like he's catching on to the smooooth operation of a Goldwing!  Next week, if weather permits, we should be able to do the apple blossom ride.

CAMP COURAGEOUS ON SUNDAY

Unless the weather man (or woman) is wrong again, Sunday sounds like it's going to be a nice day with temps into the upper 60's.  So it looks like the ride to Camp Courageous is on for the omelets.  We will plan to leave from Casey's at 10 that morning.  It also sounds like the local HOG chapter is heading down there also, so there should be a good representation from Waukon.  Thats' good!!  Spread the word!!

BIKES WE DIDN'T SEE IN ANAMODA

While our group saw a lot of interesting bikes at the museum in Anamosa, I thought you'd like to see some that didn't make the cut.

ALSO, CONGRATULATIONS TO MERYLE ON HIS NEW PURCHASE!!  Can't wait for the first Wednesday night!
