The link below tells about a 1930's steam train that will  be coming through West Salem and then into LaCrescent on Sunday.  I got this information from Jim & Cathy, since we both have an interest in trains.  That's why the Couples' Trip this year in September includes a train ride.

This Sunday I plan on riding up to either West Salem or LaCrescent (maybe both) to see this old steamer roll through.  I will be leaving Casey's at 10:15 AM, and anyone who wants to ride along with me is welcome.  It looks to be a lunch and a train view.
