WHILE THE BOYS WERE AWAY.........

While David, Bob Z, and Bob R were meandering through Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio on the guy's summer outing, some of the rest of the WNR took a ride last Wednesday.  Here's a report sent by Jim.

We did get a ride in Wednesday night. We had two bikes and a trike. Jim
and Cathy, Al, and  Wayne and Sandy. Started out on a beautiful night
taking Hwy 9 to Lansing, over the bridge and south on WI-35 through
Ferryville. Took a left on Hobbs Hollow road. Followed that to County Rd
E, then  WI-179 to Steuben. Continued on E to WI-60 with a planned stop
in Wauseka. The radar on the bike had indicated some showers west of
home and we noticed the sky was getting dark. Checked phones for a more
accurate weather map. Didn't look good towards home. Al got a text from
Seth to watch the weather. We decided to skip the extra scenic route
back and go the direct route. Got into Prairie and checked radar.
Decided to try to get to Waukon. Started to sprinkle on us by the
Waterville turn but nothing heavy. We all made it home mostly dry.
Looking at radar I think we got pretty lucky. Little over 100 miles on
the bike.

Hoping Bob R, Bob Z and Dave H were as lucky on their trip. We will be
waiting for updates.

Only got one picture since we had to hurry home.

A GOOD-LOOKING BUNCH!!

After my recovery and 200 mile "unwind" ride, I'll post a brief synopsis of the guys' trip to Athens, Ohio.  It was a great ride!
