As many of you know, our friend Richard, (the one in the Slingshot), has needed a new kidney. He has been waiting a very long time for a match, and I am happy to tell everyone that it finally happened!
Attached is a Facebook notice from his daughter that was forwarded to me by Chuckles. I know we all can't wait to see him roll into Casey's in his Slingshot and a new kidney. GET WELL, RICHARD!!

It happened!!! My dad got his kidney transplant yesterday!!!
We got the call Sunday morning around 1am while we were in Connecticut for my Aunt's (dad's sister) celebration of life. (I believe she had something to do with it.) 💜
I scrambled for an earlier flight and was able to reroute us to Rochester, MN.
As of this morning he has already done 14 laps, the goal is to do 44 so overachiever is kicking ass!
(((EDIT: He blew the 44 laps out of the water already, most people don't even want to get out of bed they said!)))
As of now we are limiting visitors at the hospital to our very immediate family because of infection until he is at the gift of life transplant house.
If you want to call, you're welcome to! Also cards can be sent to my parents. I will be driving back and forth. He will be up here for several weeks.
Also PLEASE, PLEASE pray for the donor's family. This gift is so very precious to us and their decision to donate life is a blessing beyond measure to so many.
