14 FOR MEMORIAL DAY

It was 70 degrees and breezy as 14 of us on 9 units departed Casey's at 1 PM on Memorial Day.  Meryle & Mary rode with Dennis & Marlene in the support vehicle while Wayne & Sandy, Chuck, Lois, Jim & Cathy G, Jim S, Nancy, and Bob & Julie R rode on bikes.  We passed through Elon, Harpers Ferry, Marquette, Prairie du Chien, and on into Bridgeport for a break.  We then took CR C to HWY 133 and then onto CR K.  We took K to Mt. Hope and HWY 18 where we passed on through Mt. Ida and on into Fennimore.  We picked up HWY 61 there and took in to CR T that took us all the way through Blue River and on into Port Andrew for another break and some ice cream.  While taking our break we avoided a hard rain shower.  We then took HWY 60 to CR W, which was still wet from the hard rain,  through Mt. Zion (We passed through a lot of Mt.'s) and on into Barneveld where we picked up HWY 131.  After a short jaunt on 131 we turned west on CR S to HWY 27.  Hwy 27 took us to Mt. Sterling (another Mt.) where we turned on to HWY 171 west and down to HWY 35.  Hwy 35 took us through Ferryville and to HWY 82 and across the Mississippi into Lansing.  We then took HWY 9 from Lansing to Waukon where we feasted on brats, salads and deserts at Rotach's.  It turned out to be a real nice ride with lots of neat scenery, lots of Mt.'s and no rain!

Here's some shots of the Memorial Day group.
