JUST ME 'N CHUCKLES--ALSO MEMORIAL DAY

It was 48 degrees when Chuckles and Bob R departed Casey's on Wednesday night.  We headed up north on 76 through Hanover and Eitzen to CR 17.  West on 17 took us through Wilmington and on into Spring Grove where we stopped at Kwik Trip for warm drinks with a temperature of 53.  Heading for home we took CR 16 down through Dorchester and back to HWY 76.  We turned south on 76 and onto CR A26 east and onto the Lycurgus Road.  We passed through Lycurgus on HWY 9 and on into Waukon for some Gus & Tony's tenderloins.  All together we racked up about 75 miles.  It was cool, but a really nice ride.  Lots of green on the bluffs and valleys and crops are sprouting up in the farm fields.  This would be great place to live if it wasn't so damn cold all the time!

Monday is the 8th Annual Memorial Day Run and Cook Out.  We plan to depart from Casey's at 1 PM after paying a well-deserved tribute to our veterans.  I've planned about a 160 mile jaunt with several breaks called the Blue River loop.  Everyone is welcome to ride along, and then come to a cookout at Rotach's after we get back.  Spread the word!  Brats will be furnished and you can bring your own drinks and a salad or desert if you want.  If you can't make the ride, you can still come to the cookout.  We should be back in town around 5:30

Here's a couple of shots from Wednesday night.
