CLOUDY & COOL, BUT NO RAIN

I had my doubts if anyone wanted to follow me after last week's soaking.  But sure enough, Jim & Cathy, Florida Bob, and Howard showed up to ride with me.

FLORIDA BOB IS BACK

CAN"T FARM, SO WE MIGHT AS WELL RIDE!
We pulled out of Casey's at 5:30 and the temperature on the bank sign read 58 degrees, but when we turned the corner onto Main, the temp had warmed up to 63 according the the bank sign there.

We took HWY 76 north to Bear Creek Drive (A26) and turned west following it all the way to Locust Road.  Turning south on Locust we went through Decorah and onto HWY 52 and then onto Madison Road.  Madison took us west and on into Ridgeway on HWY 9 where we stopped at the Clark station for a break and to let Florida Bob warm up.

FLORIDA BOB WARMED UP & READY TO GO
After our stop in Ridgeway, we followed HWY 9 back east to Waukon and Gus & Tony's.  I had 85 miles on the Wing when I got home.

This Wednesday, May 9th would have been my brother Larry's 70th birthday.  As most of you know, he passed away last fall. He loved riding motorcycles also, so being able to take a ride on his birthday was real special to me.

After Thursday it looks like the weather is taking a turn for the worst, but right now Sunday (Mothers' Day) looks to be a nice day.  So we are still planning to ride up to Wings in Dorchester for their brunch and take a ride afterwards.  I was thinking of going to LaCresent and taking Apple Blossom Drive to see if the trees are in bloom yet.  If you would like to ride along, we will leave Casey's at 11:30 Sunday morning and head to Dorchester.

Bob, haven’t been able to go on rides lately because of issues with health in the family.
Cher’s dad is at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, getting help with mobility issues with him. If I can make it, i will see you at Casey's in Waukon at 11:30 Sunday morning.
